A significant decrease in blood glucose levels was recorded in the clove supplements group compared to the diabetic control group.
The study found clove supplements had the most effect and helped to sustain in antihyperglycemic activity.
There was also a significant decreasing effect on leptin levels compared to the diabetic control group.
“In conclusion the result of the study show that cloves possess anti-diabetic properties and may help in the control of hyperleptinemia in type 2 diabetes,” noted the study.
