Trials of Osiris is back this week, and Guardians can be prepared to play a less experimental version in Destiny 2 today.
The PvP event has been on hiatus for a while, with the Iron Banner taking centre stage last week.
But with that out the way, Bungie is preparing to bring back the revamped Trials of Osiris at around 6 pm BST.
The last time the activity was playable, it boasted different rules and was given the name Capture Zone.
This will not be part of this week’s Trials, and Guardians will be experiencing a more standard version of the game mode.
According to one of Bungie’s most recent posts, the next few weekends will see Trials reverting back to standard Elimination, with the flawless pool starting Sunday at 10 am.
“We know shaking it up every weekend has been a bit jarring and are looking to keep some consistency in the weeks ahead,” Bungie told fans last week.
Before teasing this week: The revamp has been going well, and it’s awesome to see renewed excitement around the mode.
“Looks like tomorrow will feature [REDACTED] as the Flawless reward. I got a nice roll the last time it was featured, but I’d really like to get [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] on it.
“I hope you’re ready to play on [REDACTED]. It has a few different range profiles to toy with, depending on which lane you go for first.
As an example, these are some of the rewards and loot packages available last month:
- Reputation Rank 4: Upgrade Module
- Reputation Rank 7: Enhancement Prism
- Reputation Rank 10: Eye of Sol Legendary Sniper Rifle
- Reputation Rank 13: Upgrade Module
- Reputation Rank 16: Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon
The last Flawless Reward offered by Bungie was Shayura’s Wrath Adept SMG, which is expected to be replaced by something new today.
Bungie has also confirmed that they have reduced the round time to 90 seconds, with each round starting with fresh special ammo.
Cross Play must be enabled to participate in Trials of Osiris, which also requires the purchase of the current yearly expansion.
