Two major planetary shifts are occurring this morning, all while Mercury is retrograde and the Moon is in dramatic Leo. There may be a few shocks or you might simply feel more rebellious and creative. Either way, it’s a really positive day if you’ve been looking forward to change or desperate for a bit of excitement. Express.co.uk reveals your daily horoscope, star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast for January 18.
Uranus has been retrograde for around four to five months, and this morning it finally turns direct again.
Astrology.com explained: “Uranus stations direct in Taurus, inciting a slow, but sure, fiscal revolution.
“Expect the unexpected with resources! Because Uranus is a distant, collective planet, its direct motion might be increasingly felt over time.”
Cafe Astrology added: “Uranus energy hangs heavy in the air this week, with related themes of shock, breakthrough, genius, technology, innovation and rebellion dominating.
“As the planet gains speed in the next few weeks, our urge to express our unique self, take some chances or risks, rebel, listen to our instincts, and stir up change are reawakened or externalised.”
Not only is Uranus going direct, it’s also square to Mercury (which is in retrograde right now).
Astrology King said: “Uranus direct square Mercury brings excitement and change to your daily routine and interactions which can cause upsets and nervous tension.
“Unexpected news may force you to change plans. However, an increased ability to view things from a different perspective can lead to original ideas and creative breakthroughs.”
Mercury is also sextile to Chiron the wounded healer this morning, helping us to open up “healthy dialogues”.
Cafe Astrology said: “We are approaching problems holistically, and problem-solving skills are high.”
The Moon spends the day in Leo, which means it’s time for your inner child to come out to play.
It’s a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position, Cafe Astrology said.
The site warned: “Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling.
“We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal.
“This is a time when we seek attention–when we want to stand out for our special qualities.”
The Moon in Leo is a strong time for romance and any creative activity and you’ll love getting stuck in with creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired and risk-taking.
